Building and growing the Bedford economy is key. It is important that local businesses thrive in order to create more jobs and opportunities for residents living in the area. I was delighted to visit the Bedford Flea, Affordable Art & Local Produce Market this morning.
I buy a lot of second hand clothes and vintage clothes - therefore, it was great to see the vintage clothes stalls and all of the hand made products.
On a sunny day like Sunday, it was great to see the additional footfall through the Town Centre. Bedford has missed out on a lot of opportunities which unfortunately were not grasped by the previous administration.
If elected to be your member of Parliament, I will fight for investment into both Bedford and Kempston. The residents living in Kempston often remind me that they felt left behind. I will change that going forward. The Conservative Mayor and Councillors are certainly focused on the same goal.
