In 2019, the Conservatives promised to recruit 20,000 extra police. And they’ve kept that promise.

Since 2019 we have hired 195 additional police officers in Bedfordshire, who are on the frontline fighting crime in our community. I am working to deliver more new officers to protect our streets.

Furthermore I am campaigning to reopen a police station in Bedford which will work alongside Bedfordshire Police Headquaters in Kempston.

Drugs are a scourge on our community. That’s why I am working with Bedfordshire Police to tackle county lines gangs to combat drug dealing and its destructive impact on businesses and homes.

I am currently working with community groups through projects on the ground through youth leaders and business leaders to find practicable solution to help young people through positive role models and music to ensure they don't get involved with crime or gangs.

Everyone deserves to feel safe on our streets.
